When the body breaks down, the mind and the spirit are troubled too. Often, even basic healthcare and amenities are beyond the reach of the marginalized.
At our Homes for the Aged at Uccassaim and Divar in Goa and Kirem, Mangalore we care for both aged women and men who now have no home or whose families are not equipped to care for them. We consider it a privilege to be able to offer them nourishment not just for the body but also for the mind, heart and soul. They become our children and we nurture them with love.
Shanti Sadan home for the aged, situated in Manglore, Kirem. We the sisters are involved in caring for the sick and elderly. Its new home for the Aged for our congregation, at present we have 2 inmates in our home. 3 inmates have stayed for short period of time and gone their respective home.
We are also involved in pastoral ministry by helping in the church, distribution of the holy communion, visiting the sick, attending ward meetings. We also have started psol companions and 12 members of our parish have joined us. We had meetings and recollection together.

The Poor Sisters Of Our Lady prays for the members of the congregation, lay associates, collaborators and all people of the world. In addition to community prayer, we have a separate prayer time set aside daily, for intentions.
