The community at J. S. Pereira Memorial, Papdy, comprises 4 members. All of them are involved in the pastoral work of the parish. Sr. Anna Thomas takes the confirmation classes, and Srs. Anna Thomas and Rose Kuriakose distribute communion in the church, Sr. Sonali, assistant in charge of the youth and member of the liturgy committee as well as the cultural committee, every first Friday, Srs. Anna and Sonali go to 6 villages to visit the sick and homebound and distribute communion. The Sisters participate in all the village activities like masses and programs and visit the families.
The Poor Sisters Of Our Lady prays for the members of the congregation, lay associates, collaborators and all people of the world. In addition to community prayer, we have a separate prayer time set aside daily, for intentions.
