The Sisters at St. Mary’s Convent, Uran are happy to share with you of their community work. The community consists of three sisters Sr. Mary Konikara, Sr. Rita D’Mello and Sr. Shirley Noronha. They are involved in the pastoral work like teaching catechism, preparing students for confirmation and communion, distribution of communion in the Church, helping in the sacristy and visiting the sick family members of teachers and students etc. One sister is fully involved in the Education Ministry as a Principal of a diocesan school. The Poor Sisters Of Our Lady prays for the members of the congregation, lay associates, collaborators and all people of the world. In addition to community prayer, we have a separate prayer time set aside daily, for intentions.
