The opening of the Institute’s first Convent in the Diocese of Columbus, Ohio, on April 28, 2026. Sr. Fiona, Sr. Kavita, and Sr. Sushila arrived to begin this new missionary venture, trusting in god’s providence and guidance.
The Sisters received a warm welcome from parish priests and parishioners of Little flower Parish, whose hospitality made them feel at home. Upon arriving in Zanesville, they were touched by the thoughtful preparation of the convent and the visible signs of the Institute’s charism and mission.
Their ministry involves education and parish service, their commitment to community life, prayer and mission, and their efforts to adapt to a new culture while remaining faithful to their vocation.
They are grateful to God and all who made the mission possible, affirming that the new convent is a place of prayer, service, communion and witness to God’s love and providence.
The Poor Sisters Of Our Lady prays for the members of the congregation, lay associates, collaborators and all people of the world. In addition to community prayer, we have a separate prayer time set aside daily, for intentions.
