To provide spiritual, emotional, and practical support to migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers, promoting dignity, justice, and compassion.

Inspiration

May our ministry reflect God's love and compassion for all, especially the most vulnerable.

Sr. Deodita a trained Social worker appointed as social worker for Commission for migrants by the Archdiocese of Mumbai, gives a services wholeheartedly with all her expertise.

Her Major Roles:

  • To visit the units almost every Sunday.
  • Attends the unit mass in Hindi and met the migrants and unit heads.
  • Would source out priests for Hindi mass/confessions/retreats and resource persons for training sessions.
  • When requested, she contribute as a resource person and give talks to migrants.
  • Attends common programs organized by the unit and got involved in planning too when requested, involved in the planning and coordination of events conducted at AMC level.
  • Communicate with unit heads and collect reports and photographs online. Works on input of census database.
  • Coordinates with unit heads with regards to the leadership training for migrants – 3 modules are completed. Meeting with Fr. Glasten and team.
  • After visiting the units, write the reports. For major programs, does the coordinating and reports for them.

Prayer Request

The Poor Sisters Of Our Lady prays for the members of the congregation, lay associates, collaborators and all people of the world. In addition to community prayer, we have a separate prayer time set aside daily, for intentions.

We invite you to send your prayer requests to us for :  serious illness, operation/surgery, family, employment, examinations, repose of the soul of a loved one, private personal intention.
