Prison Ministry is a Christian outreach program aimed at providing spiritual support, guidance, and rehabilitation to inmates, staff and their families.
Sr. Annie has been actively working at Thane Prison, visiting and organising programmes.
In 2017 we joined the PMI Thane unit. It is very enhancing to work with the inmates of the prisons. Here we work with the police officials, staff and inmates. The PMI organises every Thursday dental checkup, skin, gynaecologist, physician.
The volunteers take turn to go with the doctors to help. The institute also sponsored 200 police check up, beauty culture material. The inmates are undertrials yet they are human beings with so much caring, they have repented and want to live good life.
Every person is important, every person has weakness, we need to accept them as they are and society can be saved.
The Poor Sisters Of Our Lady prays for the members of the congregation, lay associates, collaborators and all people of the world. In addition to community prayer, we have a separate prayer time set aside daily, for intentions.
We invite you to send your prayer requests to us for : serious illness, operation/surgery, family, employment, examinations, repose of the soul of a loved one, private personal intention.
